I was born, raised, and have lived in Ipswich my whole life. I’m passionate about our local region and all it has to offer our community.
Upon leaving school I studied horticulture at the University of Queensland while continuing to work on my parent’s cattle and crop farms which serviced the Ipswich region.
In 1991 I joined the family small earth moving business Zanow Earth Movers. My father, brother and I worked together to expand the business and in 2012 we grew to become Zanow’s Concrete and Quarries servicing Ipswich and Southeast Queensland with natural sand, gravel, hardrock quarry products and concrete.
Having sold our business in 2022 I have continued to serve the Ipswich area as President of the Ipswich Show Society and board member of the Queensland Chamber of Agricultural Societies. Through my roles I have effectively advocated for state and federal governments to invest in Ipswich, upgrading ageing local infrastructure.
The Palaszczuk/Miles Labor Government has taken the Ipswich community for granted and this by-election will be a rare chance to send Labor a message that they need to do better on crime and cost of living.
